The book, "Out of my mind" written by Sharon Draper, is one of my favorite book of all time. The main character is 12 year old Melody Brooks. She has cerebral pasly, but she is a genius with a photographic memory.  The thing that annoys me the most is she cant talk or walk, basically nothing that a normal 12 year old can do. She is the main character because this book is about her going to fifth grade and all the downfalls that come along with that. Another important character is Mrs. V and Rose, her only friend. Mrs. V, is her neighbor that pushes Melody to not give up and she teaches Melody, kind of like her personal coach. Rose befriends Melody and treats her like a normal person and that makes feel good. Throughout the book her character is dynamic. This can be proven on chapter 10 page 88, "It was driving me crazy that I couldn't tell him about a stupid Big Mac". Also on chapter 25 page 191, " I realized I have never, ever said any words directly to my parents. So I push a couple of  buttons, and the machine speaks the words I've never been able to say, "I love you".  At first she couldn't communicate or talk she then she gets a device that allows her to talk. She is filled with excitement like a weight is lifted up and she can talk.
