reading log#2- Out of my mind 

The main conflict of this book is that The kids began to get upset that Melody because she got all the attention at the Trivia team contest because she was "special". "She musta cheated!"Claire added loudly."She can’t even sit up by herself!" Claire replied, her voice petulant. All Melody wants is to be normal and if they didn't care about themselves so much they would have been happy for her. The trivia team was so jealous that they left without Melody. This was an internal conflict because Melody was completely heartbroken, not only did her team let her down but her only friend rose did. Claire finally stammers,"We figured you’d slow us down because you have to be fed and stuff." She didn't accept the pity trophy the team gave to her instead she just laughed because it was a small plastic trophy nothing more. In the end Melody forgave them and she came out stronger, she thought to herself maybe I am not so different after all.
